Our Services

We have a variety of services at our branch to help animals and owners locally. Please note, we do not have a veterinary clinic on site and use public veterinary clinics for our own animals, if your pet requires veterinary treatment, we will be unable to offer it at our Ashford Garden Cattery.

Microchipping

£5 Microchipping Service: We offer a £5 microchipping service for cats and dogs at our Ashford Garden Cattery, this service is available to anyone, you don't need to be on low income. The £5 donation covers the cost of the microchip alone, so any additional donations would be greatly appreciated. You will need to contact us ahead to book this.

Free Microchipping Days: We are running free microchipping days to those on low income / those receiving benefits, leading up to the law change in June 2024, where it will be a legal requirement to mircochip your cat. We will regularly update our website and social media platforms with dates.

Upcoming dates:
- Tuesday 19th March, 11am-2.30pm
- Sunday 24th March, 11am-2.30pm

More dates to come...

Rehoming

We take on cats to rehome from the general public, inspectorates, vets and from other branches & hospitals across the RSPCA. We do work on a priority basis with taking in cats, prioritising welfare concerns first, during certain months our centre may be completely full with a long waiting list, so please call ahead to esnure we have space.

If you are looking to rehome your cat due to behavioural issues, expenses or similar, please give us a call, we may be able to offer some advice and services, so that you won't have to rehome your cat.

We never put a healthy animal down, we rehome cats of every age and work alongside local vets to ensure every cat who comes through out doors leaves healthy and happy.
Every cat we take in recieves a pod of their own (see photos) with daily cleaning & socialising, with an option of a foster home for unsettled cats, until they find their forever home.
