Volunteering

Volunteers

We are always in need of Volunteers!!

There are so many ways you can help us, even without a regular commitment!

Perhaps you could organise a sponsored event - a Boot Fair in your area, an Indoor Boot Fair in your local Village Hall, or Host a Coffee Morning and ask everyone to bring a few things to sell like cakes or goodies from the attic?! If you are at work ask colleagues to provide pictures of themselves as babies and charge £1 per guess! (Remember to give a small prize to the winner!) Alternatively ask your colleagues to bring in a tin of pet food each and donate them to your local RSPCA Branch - that's US!! PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH US ON 01233 641189 WITH YOUR IDEAS - AND WE'LL CALL YOU BACK TO HAVE A CHAT ABOUT HOW YOU CAN HELP. REMEMBER THAT VOLUNTEER WORK ENHANCES YOUR CV FOR GAINING PAID EMPLOYMENT!

The Garden Cattery, Station Road, Ashford

There are many interesting and exciting possibilities for Volunteering at the Garden Cattery ... every day includes a busy routine of cleaning, feeding and socialising the cats. Due to certain regulations, you must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer at the cattery. The paperwork requires hours of attention and if you enjoy administration you would enjoy helping excited new owners complete their documentation! If you like working with people as well as animals there are opportunities to meet and greet prospective owners and visitors - you can enjoy showing people around and helping a cat to find its new owner! Give Leslie a call on 01233 646855 if you think you can help!

Our Charity Shop in Church Road, Willesborough

Are you over 16 and have you ever fancied working in a Shop? Our Charity Shop is just the place for you - and the bargains are wonderful! Give Jan a call on 01233 666233 to have a chat about this exciting area of volunteer work!

The Committee

Central to all Branch activity is the work of The Committee. This dedicated band of Volunteers constantly needs support from new Members to oversee all the procedures that take place. There is scope for fundraising, events organising, legal input, liaison with the RSPCA Headquarters and the Inspectors, administrative work, and dealing with calls from the public as well as other charities, to name but a few. Whatever your interest, we can involve you in the critical and rewarding work of protecting animals. Give us a call on 01233 641189 to discuss how you can help.
